About:
Bright Embrace was inspired by Toby Gorbos, our youngest child. Toby has always been a kid of few words and decisive affectionate action. The title for my pieces comes from thinking of a way to capture this aspect of her personality in a quick turn of phrase. Being the youngest of three kids, Toby in her baby/toddler phase was also a bit like a puppy for her older siblings. As she’s grown a bit older she’s obviously started to assert her own personhood, and there’s a certain brightness to watching and accepting that personality flower that I also wanted to portray in the title.
